OUR STORY
Established in 1998 in Sydney, Australia, CARVE Eyewear was conceived, created, and brought to life
to fill a gap in a generally overpriced sunglasses market.
Our founders were passionate surfers, skiers, and, overall, action sports/active lifestyle enthusiasts.
They realised that most of their friends, blue-collar and white-collar alike, and they all had a common complaint: sunglasses were too expensive, and the less expensive ones were poor quality!
Finding a solution became their crusade; thus, CARVE was born.

Now, two and a half decades and going strong, CARVE is worn by hundreds of thousands of outdoor enthusiasts with diverse interests who demand style, quality, and performance eyewear at an affordable price. This value proposition has expanded from sunglasses to CARVE's outstanding snow goggles range, beach apparel, and accessories. Value is in our blood and, therefore, built into everything we make.

CARVE has expanded to more than 30 countries and is growing. It has built a loyal following of advocates who continue to spread the good word and positive vibes about CARVE. We continue to support our communities, athletes, and ambassadors, boasting some of the best surf, snow, and outdoor athletes as a proud part of the CARVE team and family. We continue to foster the community that sparked our imagination and inspiration more than 25 years ago

OUR GREENER FOCUS
CARVE has always endeavoured to reduce its collective impact on the planet. We worked for over two years to eliminate excessive packaging and single-use plastic. All our glasses ship in a paper wrapper that does not scratch the lens and can be recycled. In 2023, we also launched our "Future Friendly" eyewear collection, a stunning range of sunglasses, the frames made 100% from recycled plastic bottles, bottles that would otherwise be destined for our oceans
